happy drawing

it's been a while. after my last post, when i realized i had works in progress from A YEAR AGO!, i decided to get my sewing mojo on, pronto. the month of january i finished 4 quilts. :) i guess i just needed a little motivation. the following two months have been an ordeal with both my machine and my camera in to see the fix-it guys. ugh. finally, we're back on the grid.

the first one i'm sharing is a quilt featuring Ed Emberley's happy drawing line. when i first saw this line i knew it was perfect for little boy quilts. my boys LOVE it!
i couldn't let this fabric sit for very long. at the rate i'm going, these adorable boy fabrics aren't going to be as awesome when the boys are 14! time to cut it up. i added some of the new kona colors.
the back is a 'use up everything i have without having to buy anything else'. i kind of love it.
i love the big block. this quilt had to be torn off a bed to get pictures of. i love those kind of quilts!
quilt stats:
size: 64" X 88"
pattern: Rapid City, from OhFransson Modern Patchwork
fabric: Ed Emberly, Happy Drawing; kona iron, leprachaun, sprout, steel, school bus, water, white, medium gray
quilting: straight lines 1 1/2-2" apart
